Biography

Originally a classically trained singer; after university I couldn't resist the call of the more contemporary jazz, blues and soul scene.

I have performed with a variety of soul, funk, jazz, pop and rock bands around the UK (appearing at the legendary London Astoria and Soho's Jazz After Dark club), as well as working as a session singer across the South East and at London's world famous Tin Pan Alley.

I am an experienced teacher, having taught all levels of vocal technique and performance for the last 25 years, alongside beginners piano.

I teach a range of styles, from contemporary pop, soul, rock, jazz and blues, to musical theatre and classical.

After a spell living and singing abroad, in 2011 I returned to East Anglia (via Salzburg) hooking up with local musicians to work on various music projects in the soul, jazz, funk, pop and blues genre, and re-starting my singing tuition "Find Your Voice".

Students are welcome to book individual sessions and/or group workshops.  I also work with choirs on technique and performance.
